My Master Chef

Since getting married and moving in together, Matt and I made an agreement that if I cooked all the meals, he would do all the dishes and the cleaning afterwards. I thought it was an awesome idea since doing dishes is definitely not on the top of my 'favorite things to do' list. Well recently, I've been getting a little burnt out and felt that only about half of my meals have been successfully prepared. Matt's also a picky eater..and well, there's only so many meals I can come up with that don't include alot of veggies or any pasta. So Matt suggested we swap places for the week and I gratefully took him up on his offer. Having only seen him cook a few meals in the time that I've known him, I was a bit skeptical and wasn't sure what I was getting myself into.

It was such an awesome feeling getting to finally relax one evening without spending time in the kitchen right after work. As he rummaged through the fridge and googled a few things on the internet, I eyed quite a bit of meat laying out on the counter. Ha! This man loves meat! He got his inspiration from 'Epic Meal Time', a Youtube channel that involves a group of guys making grotesque meals of meat.

So the concoction that Matt baked up was chicken breasts that he butterflied and filled with ham and jalapeno jack cheese, seasoned with salt, pepper, basil and garlic. And I'll be honest with you, it was stinkin yummy! He also poured into a bowl some raspberry chipotle for a dipping sauce. He's good! I enjoyed doing the dishes after that!
He looked like he was having a good time, I had to take a picture. He took the other two shots..he was so proud:)
