home sweet home

Just got back from Iowa's Hy-Vee Triathlon and it was awesome, but it feels so great to be home! Here's a little recap from last week....

Tuesdays workout with Kris was KILLER! We did our usual stretches and warm up, but hit the grind when we began the circuit training..whoooweee! We rotated out between 30 second intervals of push-ups, dead lifts, and kettle bell exercises. After finishing 3 rounds we moved onto a core workout on the yoga mats that felt so good, I was sore for an entire three days! We finished up the workout with a few sprints outside which Matt, Tory and I were completely exhausted by; however, I love the euphoric state at the end of it all. It's always rewarding:)

Thursday was mainly a day of packing and organizing for the trip to Iowa. Trying to find a place to board Zoey was tremendously difficult since she's only 2 and a half months old, so sweet sweet Tory kept an eye on her for us which we were so thankful for! Zoey has a great time at the Nolan house anyway since they have 3 dogs to keep her on her toes:) The three boys and I also have started a weekly photography competition. We are given a week to complete the challenge..and last week was to take (what I thought was supposed to be the cutest picture of Zoey) but the three boys said it needed to be the best picture of Zoey. Well, here are the entires...let us know which is your favorite!
Megan's Matt's and Joe's Yes yes I know Joe's is a pretty amazing representation of Zoey, and Matt's photoshop skills stomp me every time, but just look how cuh-yute she is with that little tongue sticking out..what a sas! John wasn't quite ready for this first round of photos, so he judged; and the winner was JOE! :D I need to step up my game for the next one!

Friday morning we said goodbye to our little baby and left to Des Moines, Iowa for a Hy-Vee triathlon event. Our EONI(Earth's Own Natural Ingredients) line for Hill Country Bakery IS NOW in HEB and Sprouts in all of Texas. We're currently negotiating with Hy-Vee, a large grocery chain in the north, about getting EONI in their stores..our reason for being there. I've never been to Des Moines before so I was ready to explore. It was such a beautiful town! Full of art and cute shops, and just look at that capitol! The area where the triathlon began was at a beautiful lake just off of the Raccoon River ::it is so green and lush:: Groups of people flocked our EONI booth to try the yummy samples and enjoyed receiving the free t-shirts and bracelets we had to offer. With all of the great feedback and complements, I sure hope they get ready for the big bang it's going to make in the north! ;)
