i heard lecrae a few years ago during a concert at stonegate and really got interested in his music because his lyrics were incredibly meaningful and spoke to my heart. i haven't listened to any of his new music until recently, and his song background has not stopped playing on my ipod since i downloaded it last week.

phillipians 4:13 says i can do all things through christ who gives me strength take his hand and he'll work in your life in many more ways than you can recognize

gosh, such a simple task to submit ourselves to the lord and let him be the one to lead us, yet so many of us struggle with giving him full control.

this song is humbling, comforting, inspirational...

wednesday's web wishlist

i have made so many colossal discoveries today..

1. Fenton Hobnail Milk Glasses
i'm obsessed with these delicate, collectable glasses decorated with a pattern of bumps. with a wide variety from vases to salt and pepper shakers, i want them all for accents in my home!
2. Oakley Women's Miss Conduct 2011 Sunglasses
these babies are hot! since i've been training for the half marathon i've had marvelous weather conditions; as we enter spring with the summertime around the corner there's been some squinting going on. i think these would be a great addition to my 'running gear' in order to perform to my greatest potential..or so i would like to think they would.

3. Bevel Mirror
my love for pottery barn is a tad ridiculous. my style is very modern with simple lines and a plain but bold color palette. pottery barn is (what i think to be) more of a country/chic style..so this confuses me when it comes to decorating the house. however, i have just finished some online 'browsing', not shopping. Matt thinks it's the same thing because i usually end up getting whatever it is i found:) and the piece of the day is this ethereal beveled glass mirror. we have an empty wall, and it needs to be filled!!

4. Neon Neon Neon
this summer is going to be a blast when it comes to styling. neon colors will be painting the world a little bit brighter. check out this amazing necklace:there's much more where that came from; i've started my collection already.

5. Image3d
when you were a kid, did you ever pass your time by holding a view-master to your face to look at disney princesses and cartoons?! Image3d got really creative with the idea of viewing your precious photos in three dimensions with view-master style viewers and reels. you can even customize your own reel with pictures from your wedding, holidays, vacations..etc. the options are endless and so much fun!

photo adventure

Photographer Theron Humphrey is traversing the United States with his camera and his trusty canine companion to document the lives of everyday people. Entitled This Wild Idea, the project has taken him over 17,000 miles already. He’s taken 1,825 photos, and met hundreds of people, each with their own unique story to tell. Along the way, Theron began to capture his dog Maddie, a Maine coonhound, perched atop some of the most peculiar things. This burgeoning side project, aptly (and adorably) named Maddie on Things, is delightful.Isn't she precious!

Theron's travels make me yearn for photo adventures with my own little lab/blue healer sidekick. Wanderlust can strike at inopportune moments, and I have endless admiration for people like Theron who actually make their dreams of travel and discovery happen.

new love::reading

I ended up staying up entirely too late reading last night.

For some reason this book makes me incredibly antsy and uneasy. I keep waiting for something awful to happen as I read each page which makes me read it for an inordinate amount of time every time I sit down with the book. I only have 30 pages or so left, so I’m assuming I’ll finish it at bedtime tonight. It definitely draws me in

Speaking of reading, I just recently discovered a site called Goodreads!

The website is pretty darn cool and allows you to keep track of the books you’ve read, browse books your friends are reading and receive recommendations for books you may like based on the ratings you give to other books you’ve read.
